Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of geocitely.com ("Geocitely", "the site"). The site is run by Krist Ventures OÜ, registry code 14382258, VAT number EE102045536, Katleri 21-30, 13915 Tallinn, Harju County, Estonia ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@geocitely.com.

1. Accepting these Terms

By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and for important changes we'll also put a notice on the site. Changes apply from the date they are posted and never apply to anything you did before that date. Sponsors are also covered by our Sponsorship Terms.

2. What Geocitely is

Geocitely is a free directory that compares Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI visibility tools. Everything on the site is general information to help you research tools. It is not legal, financial, marketing or professional advice, and you should check that a tool suits your needs before you buy it. We don't sell the tools we list and we aren't part of any contract you make with a vendor.

3. Accuracy of information

We read prices and features from each vendor's own pages and show the date we last checked them. Vendors change their products and prices often, so some details may be out of date or wrong. The vendor's own website is always the final word. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we'll check it.

4. How we order listings

Most lists on Geocitely start with a short list of the best known tools. This list is our editorial judgement of the tools that marketers and the trade press mention most, and we review it from time to time. Every other tool follows in A to Z order.

Paying never changes this order. Sponsorships, affiliate links and badges have no effect on where a tool appears or what we say about it. Featured and Sponsored placements sit in their own labelled spots, and a Sponsored row appears after every 8 tools only when we have a real sponsor.

5. Sponsorships and affiliate links

We earn money in two ways. Vendors can buy sponsorships, which are always labelled Sponsored or Featured. Some links to tools are affiliate links, which are marked next to the link, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through one at no extra cost to you. Paid links carry rel="sponsored". Details of our paid packages are in the Sponsorship Terms and on the Advertise page.

6. Payments

Prices are in euros and exclude VAT. VAT is added where it applies, and EU business customers with a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse charge, as set out in the Sponsorship Terms. Payments are processed by Stripe. Invoices are issued through Stripe by Krist Ventures OÜ (registry code 14382258, VAT number EE102045536). Renewal, cancellation and refund rules are in sections 7 to 9 of the Sponsorship Terms.

7. Corrections and removal for vendors

If you work for a listed vendor, you can ask us to correct facts about your tool. Please send a link to your official pricing or product page and we'll update the listing once your own page confirms the change. We decide what we list and what we say in our verdicts. You can ask us to remove your listing, and we'll consider it, but we may keep accurate factual information that is in the public interest. Corrections are free and never depend on buying a sponsorship.

8. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the site. In particular, you must not:

Normal search engine and AI crawlers that follow our robots.txt are welcome.

9. Our content and trademarks

The text, data, design and the Geocitely name and logo belong to Krist Ventures OÜ. You may quote short parts of the site and our pricing figures as long as you link to the page you quote. Tool names and logos belong to their owners and we use them only to identify the tools. Using them doesn't mean the owners endorse us.

10. Links to other sites

The site links to vendor websites and other sources. We don't control those sites and we aren't responsible for their content, products, prices or privacy practices. Your use of them is covered by their own terms.

11. Badges

Listed vendors may show a free Geocitely badge on their own site. The badge must link to the vendor's Geocitely page and must not be changed in a way that suggests we rate or endorse the tool more than our page does. We can ask you to remove a badge at any time. Showing a badge never affects rankings or verdicts.

12. Newsletter and privacy

You can subscribe to our newsletter with your email address and unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights, including your right to complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).

13. Reporting illegal content

Under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), our single point of contact for users and authorities is hello@geocitely.com. You can write to us in English or Estonian. If you think something on the site is illegal, please email us with:

We'll confirm we received your report, review it promptly and carefully, and tell you what we decided and why. If we remove or limit content provided by someone else, we'll tell them the reasons too, and they can reply to ask us to review the decision. You may also use other remedies available under the law.

14. Warranties and liability

We provide the site free of charge and as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error free or online. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses caused by relying on information on the site, by vendor products, or by third party sites.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for loss caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that can't be limited under Estonian or EU law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away your mandatory rights under EU or Estonian consumer law.

15. Indemnity for business users

If you use the site as a business, for example as a vendor sending us information or using a badge, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses if a third party makes a claim against us because you broke these Terms or sent us false information. This section does not apply to consumers.

16. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to solve any problem. If we can't agree, disputes go to Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus) in Tallinn. Consumers may instead bring a claim in the courts of the country where they live, and may also contact the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon).

17. Other terms

If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest stays in force. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up. These Terms, together with the Sponsorship Terms where they apply, are the whole agreement about your use of the site.
